Help with LivF for iOS

Email support@livfapp.com and you will get a reply from a person. Tell us your iOS version and what you were doing when it went wrong — it saves a round trip.

Report a bug from inside the app

The fastest route is the one built in. Type #bug followed by what happened anywhere you can write in LivF, and it files a report with the app's own diagnostic context attached. Use #language the same way for a wrong or awkward translation in English, Spanish or Catalan.

Reports go to a triage list that is reviewed regularly. It is genuinely the most useful thing you can do for the app.

Beta access

LivF is currently testing through TestFlight ahead of release. Email the address above with the Apple ID email you would like the invitation sent to, and you will be added when a place is free.

Common questions

Do I need an Apple Watch or a fitness band?

No. LivF counts your reps using the phone's camera, and reads whatever your phone is already recording in Apple Health. A watch adds data if you have one, but nothing depends on it.

Why is my target a range instead of a number?

Because a single number invites you to treat a forty-calorie miss as a failure. Every goal in LivF is a band with room in it, sized to what you are working towards. Landing inside the band is the whole point.

Does LivF change anything in Apple Health?

No. LivF reads from Health and does not write to it. You can review or revoke exactly what it can see in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.

Does my food photo get uploaded?

Only the photo you take for a meal estimate, and only when you take it — it is sent to be analysed and estimated. Browsing your own photo library inside LivF uploads nothing. The privacy policy sets out every case.

Which languages does LivF speak?

English, Spanish and Catalan, throughout the whole app.

Can I use LivF offline?

Logging, training and your history work without a connection. The coach, barcode lookups and photo meal estimates need one, because they ask a server a question.

Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account from inside the app, which removes the content you published. Your logs live on your device and in your own iCloud account — deleting the app and clearing its iCloud data removes those.

If you would rather we did it, email support@livfapp.com from the address on your account and ask. No reason required, and no attempt will be made to talk you out of it.

Something urgent or sensitive

Security issues, privacy concerns and data requests go to the same address and get handled first. If you have found a security problem, please tell us before telling anyone else, and you will get a straight answer about the fix.
